Cmde Rajiv Ashok (Retd) is a second generation military officer and retired after 31 years of service. While in the Navy, he qualified as a Combat Diver and a Skydiving Instructor. He has held numerous Command, Operational, Staff and Training assignments. His primary Command assignments at sea include; INS Chamak, INS Taragiri, INS Ranvijay and INS Ranvir. His Command assignments ashore include Naval Officer-in-Charge (Gujarat), INS Sardar Patel, Officer-in-Charge Command Diving Team (Visakhapatnam) and Officer-in-Charge Fleet Clearance Diving Team (Eastern Fleet).
His important Operational/ Staff assignments include Director, Directorate of Naval Operations, New Delhi; Command Operations Officer (Maritime Operations), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Director, International Fleet Review and Commodore – in – Charge Presidents Fleet Review. His salient training assignments include; Directing Staff, DSSC(W), Head of Training Team (Navy), DSSC(W) and Chief Instructor Diving School. He has undergone DSSC (W), Naval Higher Command Course at NWC (Goa) and NDC at Bangladesh. His educational qualifications include MSc (Diving Technology), MSc (Defense and Strategic Studies), MSc (Security and Development) and MPhil (Defense and Strategic Studies). He is an avid sportsman and skydiver in which he holds two Limca Book of records.
Post premature retirement on 2nd July 2022, he has assumed charge as MD, NERAMAC on 3rd July, 2022.
